We have always provided support for people with complex mental health and physical needs, including people who have Huntington’s and similar neurological conditions.
Huntington’s disease is an inherited condition that damages certain nerve cells in the brain.

This brain damage gets progressively worse over time and can affect movement, cognition (perception, awareness, thinking, judgement) and behaviour. In recognition that special skill is needed in supporting this group we have arranged training for our staff in collaboration with the Huntington’s Disease Association, and now include this topic as part of our induction for all staff.
